what's the point of staying late?

my normal day off is tomorrow and i have to come in anyway so i am wondering why i decided to stay late tonight.

this summer's flex time has been dumb.

sometimes I can't figure out work, like, they'll let us work what they call credit time, but not overtime. but if we work credit time, its time we'll spend away from work with pay, but they not only pay us, but also use an hour of productivity!

FUCK management. (except any of you who are managers, I mean the management here)

Well, generally overtime cost more to the company than credit time. At my job all overtime is payed time and a half until you reach 43 hours in the week then after that its double. Credit time is generally paid at your normal rate. That is actually good business management and poor human resources management, either way you lose... I should know this is the first job I actually get my overtime paid ever, I usually had to fight to have credit time...

that's weird that you have to come in on your comp/flex day off. i mean it defeats the purpose and they should give you ANOTHER day off, you know? LAME.

I'm just frustrated because I need money, not more time off work

i should clarify that i am not being forced to go in today. its just that my dumb ass promised someone that i would take care of something on thursday and i didn't remember till yesterday that it was my day off. and then it was too late. ;(
