What's your mobile?

I really dug your old phone Tim. what was that one?

Another friend of mine had the same phone and loved it because he could nerd out and program heaps of java shit for it.

I was thinking of replacing my X70 (POS) with something like your old one but could never remember what model it was.

I have a Nokia 1100.

The mother's day phone. Got it last mother's day.

I also got free perfume with it.

I rool.

Tim, do you have problems syncronising the Nokias? I have to deal with a number of different Nokia phones at work. The software Nokia uses and the crappy cables drive me insane with calls :erk:

Yeah, the Nokia software is absolute garbage. The 6630 is the best I've seen yet though, but even with the cable kit, you gotta donwnload extra drivers and all sorts of shit to get it to work properly. I use a Bluetooth adaptor myself which is also hit and miss but it's better than the cable, I've found.

That was a Nokia 6600 - www.nokia6600.com.au

Good phone :) Essentially the 6630 is the next generation of that particular phone, they're pretty much identical on the inside save for the extra apps, memory and camera, etc.

Good to see others have the same problem. I think a cradle would fix the problem. Some cables seem hit and miss. Some of them just keep dropping out. The cable software and nokia suite is :erk:

I use a Motorola T190. It's done the job for the last 18 months. Am looking to get something more modern soon though.

Mrs Winmar just got a Samsung SGH-E310. It seems she can use it to go on the net -can she go to any webpage with it? If so that's fuckin sweet.

Can anyone recommend a good one to get with a camera and net capability? I'd like to get a different one to Mrs W's for a bit of variation. Her's is on a $20 Telstra plan, and I'd like something similar.

I thought this was going to be a thread full of everyone's mobile numbers. Let's start posting them then. :) Come on. Dare ya.
