If we're talking meanings of names...

Eric is Anglicized from Norse and means 'ever ruler' which is why people just say it means 'strength'. Best, my surname..means beast-like. In what manner someone pegged one of my ancestors as beast-like I don't know. Both english names, although most of my direct and peripheral ancestry is Irish and Scottish, including where the Bests immigrated from. Natch. I ALMOST was named Connor. That would have been cool.
