My normal tracking goes

scratch guitar
drums
bass
guitar
vocals
mix
master

do you edit drums after you track drums, then track guitar or do you save it all for the end?

Since I'm forced to track an EP in a weekend or an album in two weekends, I track guitars to the click, then track drums and edit everything later. So the drummer has tight guitar tracks to play to and if the drums are off a bit, they won't throw off the tracking of guitars. If I had the proper amount of time to track everything, I'd love to edit drums before recording other instruments.

scratch guitar
drums
edit drums (because everyone else will be listening to the drums more than the click. so you'll want them dead on)
guitars (be careful not to record them to low endy as you wont have a bass)
bass (because you wont believe how out of tune you bass can be without having the real guitars already recorded, and listening back to your mix in mono)
vocals
mix
master

Scratch gtr
Scratch vox (this is reeeally fucking handy down the road)
Drums
edit drums
gtrs (edit as you track for the most part)
bass
more gtr edits + bass pocketing
vocals
vocal edits
mix
master
