Where´s Fucking Faith no more???

I have talked to Patton 4 times at various shows about him getting Faith no More together, and with zero hesitation, he said, "No fucking chance!!!!" I HIGHLY doubt that we will ever see a FNM reunion. He is very happy doing what he wants and quite honestly, he could give a shit what people want him to do. I wish I was making this up, because I am probably the biggest Mike Patton freak on this board:erk: .

I'm a pretty big FNM/Bungle/Patton freak, so I'm not at all surprised he'd say that. In fact, I probably wouldn't have bothered asking him. I have always wondered all these years what the hell his problem is; I think it goes all the way back to Bungle's shows in 1991 when fans yelled for "Epic", and he's an elitist snot-rag, so the rest writes itself. I respect him for his unwillingness to compromise, and I like most of his projects (Bungle and Tomahawk, especially), but... I think FNM broke up because of him, plain and simple. I can't imagine it was anything but his attitude. But, well, if he's unhappy, he shouldn't continue, so you've got to respect that, right?

Puffy started it, remember?:loco:

I have to agree with you on that. He seems like he would be a very hard person to work with. You have to give him credit though, he has a vision, and he goes for it without compromising what he wants. I hope he does revamp Bungle though, he said that was always a possibility when I spoke to him. I am also curious about his Peeping Tom project that has been in the works for years now. I have a bunch of Peeping Tom demos and they sound great..I am not sure that he will use those songs though, because most of them got leaked on the internet. I read in a interview w/ Patton and he said that Peeping Tom was going to be more "poppish than Britney Spears". I am not sure if I can take that seriously but it is Patton afterall, and that dude surprises me every time:D :D :D

Kudos for Faith No More for not reuniting! I´m a big fan but I don´t want to see them back just to hunt down a few dollars. If they one day fell they would like to create something again, I´ll be there up front.

I really curious to hear the songs Billy did with Fear Factory and his work on the Jeff Walker cover-CD.

Amen to that....I don't want to see FNM ruin their legendary name for a few bucks

Arg, have you heard anything about the Jeff Walker cd since I posted that article? I really want to hear that.

I might post a really big article on the making of Necroticism: Descanting The Insalubrious. Don't hold me to it, because I would have to scan every page then post it and that requires uhhh work:loco: ....

The vibe I've always gotten off Patton in interviews and various comments is that he's ashamed of his time with Faith No More, and I've never understood that. I can understand him being bitter about being 19 years old and having an "image" pushed upon him during the Epic heyday, but as far as Angel Dust through Album of the Year I don't think I've ever heard him say anything positive about the music or his experiences. He may have truly been miserable throughout his entire tenure in the band, but FNM's music was so influential and affected a lot of people, it would be nice to hear him acknowledge that instead of trying to distance himself from it as far as possible.

He said as early as The Real Thing-era that he felt being in the band was like going to work, maybe he felt constrained. Gould and Puffy were the main driving force behind the band. But Patton did have a lot of input, most of the lyrics, and some cool songs like "Got that feeling" and "Malpractice".

Seems the only album he really enjoyed doing was Angel Dust despite the troubles with Jim Martin.

MyHatred, Walker has been low key the last six months, I´ll take that as a positive sign!
