Where are you facing when you record? IT MATTERS!!!!

I would presume it's a comb filtering effect from the reflection from the wall going straight back into the pickup. I don't see any bass traps or dampning materials in the room at all. Something which is essential for mix playback , never mind recording. I doubt there would be any effect what wall the bass is facing if he was monitoring in headphones.

You can have all the top equipment in the room but if the room is not treated the results will be variable.

"I'd be willing to bet that this effect varies greatly depending on the pickup," I would agree on this.

Really interesting. Besides that: that's a hell of a bass tone, is it just the axe fx in this case? (well, besides the fact that most of it comes from that awesome sounding bass you got :) )

I thought so too! Thanks man! It is indeed just the AFX. I'm releasing it as a preset when my page gets to 250 likes! https://www.facebook.com/tjppo

Well, I already liked it but I don't have an axe fx anyway :D Would be interested in maybe screenshots(?) or so nevertheless. I guess you still splitted the signal in the axe fx to low di and the distortion track? It seems really tight in the low and and not too sizzly in the high distortion.

Firstly thank you so much! Secondly what would you like screenshots of specifically?

Right, that's the point of experimentation and testing. We absolutely can know who it will effect, or at least who it's most likely to.

Exactly!

Will affect people with untreated rooms mostly ;)

Like me! :D
