Where Eagles Dare

I've heard that song God knows how many times and I still don't know the words to it!! It must be one of those ones that just don't stick!! Sometimes you can just draw a blank. I remember I was listening to The Trooper the other day and singing along and when it came to the "We get so close near enough to fight..." verse I COMPLETELY forgot it and I can usually recite those lyrics backwards!!! Everyone forgets lyrics now and then, even the mighty Bruce messes up his lyrics sometimes!

Your right. Maybe I was just sort of lost when I was listening to the song. It actually sounds great.

I downloaded the Trooper off of Kazaa because it was being sung by Blaze, I just wanted to see how his version sounded. Well, instead of starting off with "you take my like but Ill take yours too" he started off with "you fire your musket but Ill run you through"

Im not here to bash anyone, especially the band, but the lyrics to this particular song has been ripped to shreds. I think someone needs to memorize some lyrics. The song actually doesn't even have much to memorized...... :Spin:

Im tallking about the MPEG on this website............
Please no bashing of the ladies on their own site-they are great people. If I took your quote wrong how ever I apologize.

Yeah, I have that one too! Blaze sounds so bad live but he sounds good on the cd. He is a good singer but maybe not quite right for Maiden. He sounds brilliant on his solo stuff.

I would love for the Maidens to do some Blaze era material but no-one seems very keen on it. You have some brilliant songs on those albums - The Clansman, Como Estais Amigos, Man On The Edge, Sign Of The Cross, Judgement Of Heaven, 2am etc etc. The X Factor and Virtual XI are two great albums!! (Sorry didn't mean to go off topic but it annoys me that people in general just dismiss these albums just cos they aren't Bruce ones)
