Where to put my improvised gobos?

So I was tinkering around in the basement today and found a pop up nomadic display. It is about 5ft tall & 6ft wide and concave in shape. I was going to toss it, but then I figured I could attempt to find a use for it. I got a bunch of insulation from work (free), so I stuffed the frame full of insulation and voila....a makeshift gobo

My question is, where would be the best placement for use with drums? My room is fairly small and when I sit at the kit my back is close to a wall. Would it be best to place it behind the kit?

Put it out in the room and a mic from behind. Boom room sound.

I'll definitely try that! I also finally got around to building a drum cloud as well. I'm pretty anxious to record some drums now lol.

I'll tell you guys one thing for sure, treating your room is definitely a good motivator. I didn't expect to get so excited about it. The best thing is all my materials were free
