Which DOD Riffs would have been on a Maiden CD during their Best Era (82-88)

The intro to No More Lies
The Part in Paschendale where the solos begin
The intro to DOD, and the part where the Russian melody is.
The intro to Montsegur and maybe even the whole song

"Montsegur's" intro clearly fits in with "Powerslave"!

Intro to "No More Lies" would actually belong to "Virtual XI".

Intro to "Gates of Tomorrow" (a great song, otherwise) sounds like the shite on "Fear of the Dark".

The intro/outro to "Paschendale" sounds like very early 80s Depeche Mode!

Very little.

BNW had some moments that could have occured during that period:

The intros to "Ghost Of The Navigator" and "Brave New World" could have been on SSOASS and so could the marvelous middle section of "The Mercenary".

"The Nomad" has it all. The whole song's main music and riffs are sandwiched right between the POM and Powerslave eras. The instrumental sequence could have fit on "Somewhere In Time".

But DoD has very little to offer for what's truly worthy of Maiden's musical potential.
