Yes, special editions of the first two are due out next month. No word yet on what the additional content will be.

Glad I haven't bought those two yet. Is it known it they will be in the crappy digi-paks like the Symphony X SE's, or in regular jewel cases like the Vanden Plas SE's?

How crappy are the Symphony X digipaks? I've heard this before, "they're just crappy". Are they falling apart or what? I'm planning on buying them. Is it worth the money? Fyi, I don't own these albums before.

I haven't seen them in stores yet, but I have seen a review of the remasters, so they are definitely in production. The bonuses are the videos of For Every Tear That Falls and The Masterplan, no additional tracks.Vertigo said:

They are as flimsy as digipaks come. Like the Gamma Ray remasters or even the new Guns & Roses Greatest Hits.Gautigoth said:

I saw the two Special Editions at the store today. They are both in jewel cases with the carboard slipcover.
The only extras I remember was that they each had a music video.

Keep in mind that The Dark Discovery and Solitude Dominance Tragedy are just being re-released, not re-mastered. They will sound basically the same as they currently do. 
I got both of em. They have on dark discovery the music video "for every tear that falls" and on Solitude dominance tragedy they have "The masterplan".
Also the first page has a little letter from tom talking about that record that he wrote a month ago or somethin like that.
