Which monitors...?

So, I'll probably be looking into getting monitors sometime in the future. I've come across the KRK Rockit 5's and the Yamaha HS50M, seeing as they're both around the 300-350$ range.

The only problem is that the ONE guitar store in my area is awful and hardly carries anything. Because of this I can't test any out for myself.

Opinions?

Btw, I'll probably be mixing deathcore, metalcore, pop/rock, stuff like that.

alot of people like both those were pretty much my choices in the stores the rocket 5's had fake bass in my mind thats how it sounded to me at least

Rockit 5's are cool. You can definitely work with em. As a plus I've seen pros swoon over them. In comparison to other monitors, they're not so hot, but in that price range why not give em a try? Heard good things about the Yamahas too. Check out online too, some retailers will ship quick, and sometimes for free.

I've seen lots of pros with KRK's, but I've also heard people complain about them.

I put up a poll. Hopefully it'll work out as nicely as the Profire 2626/Saffire Pro 40 thread awhile back.

KRK are a little more affordable maybe. I don't trust them.
