I'm a big Hk fan, but in this case I'm gonna have to say get the 92FS Inox.
Just a better gun all around.

let's say someone breaks into your house and tries to hurt you. you take the gun, cap their knees, you're fine. plus, going to a shooting range is fun. and it costs less money if you have your own firearm

Why should someone have a reason to get a gun? Why do people get a sword? Or a car? Or a CD? Because they WANT TO. You don't NEED swords and axes either.

i vote for the 92FS but that's because when i think H&K, i think MP5, not handgun.

also im a fan of the Beretta both because of Max Payne and because it's fun to shoot. Also my two friends in the Army love it (since it's standard issue as the M9).

but that's just me.

*edit* ive also never shot either gun. the only 9mm ive shot was a Glock 17 so...

Krig, Soy - Glocks suck, sorry. they are garbage.

Sephiroth - the 92fs is one of the most reliable handguns EVER made, EVER (i say again EVER)

Isabel - I like guns....

Will - its not for home protection, the most I can do is scare someone breaking in with it, but thats only after the 2 minutes that it takes to get it out of the safe. i dont plan on keeping ammunition in my house.... a gun without bullets is like a knife without a blade... all you can do is hit someone with it... not much of a weapon at that point.

everyone saying that they think of MP5s when they think of HK and not handguns.... WTF? anyone ever hear of the USP..... MK23? none of those? great SOCOM weapons.

true, but the MP5 was around first which is why i always associate it with H&K. although that is still a remarkable weapon, mostly for it's modularness.

on a side note, any particular reason why you want to go with a 9mm instead of another calibre?

dont worry, i like guns but i cant aim worth a shit. heres only 10 yards with the beretta (rental) shooting pretty fast with one hand for most clips, and using 2 hands fireing slower for about 3 clips.

yes, cheap ammo, im shooting paper targets so i dont need a larger caliber to insure a kill since none of my targets are alive. originally i wanted a .40 caliber HK P2000 but the ammo is twice as much money for .40 cal at my local range, 10 bucks for 50 rounds in .40, or 10 bucks for 100 rounds in 9mm

don't feel bad; this was me firing a mis-sighted .45 blah. or maybe it was the glock because my friend didnt want to get the M1911 because "his wrist hurt and he was scared of recoil".

althought i did remarkably better when using the 9mm:

so yeah. aim gets better over time.

here's that closer up:

each target was 25 rounds at 15 meters too.
