I
Nuclear Assault, Corrosion of Conformity, D.R.I., Cro-Mags, Suicidal Tendencies, Pro-Pain, Cryptic Slaughter, S.O.D., etc...

I miss the mixing of hardcore punk and thrash fucking metal. Do people do this anymore? Can anybody clue me in to what bands are keeping that style alive? Or recommend other bands from the era? Or discuss the awesomeness, whatever.

Nuclear Assault, Cro-Mags, and S.O.D. are cool, though as mentioned, Nuclear Assault are not really crossover. I also like The Exploited, Discharge, Amebix, and GBH, as far as crossover goes.

you think you're really hard
you think that you can mosh
got your suspenders
and got your boots
better wear armor
you fucking fools
WE MOSH
until you die
WE MOSH
until you fry
YOU THINK
that you can try

but can you do...

TEH MILAWNOZ MAWSH!!!

I dont really consider any of the last 4 bands you mentioned to be Crossover... but the bands that Anonymous mention i love... and consider Crossover.. NA isnt really crossover though from time to time they play some of it iMo...

Some of it's alright, but I prefer traditional thrash metal, or even more, harsh-vocaled thrash.

Spear of Longinus' last album "The Yoga of National Socialism" is the only really punkish album I can get into. Not really sure where it sits either... with the thrash or punk stuff. Never did get into their black metal material.
