Last night we tried a generic lager, 2 subpar lagers, and a subpar hefeweizen that was essentially a cloudy lager. However, it was the second hottest day ever recorded in Edmonton, so it made drinking subpar lagers salvagable.

I was thinking of going to the Scorpions gig.. But... I am broke.. (Couldn't hear the applause?)
So this year will end seeing Apocalyptica,Anathema and Haggard in April 2008,
Opeth, Dark Tranquillity, Testament and Orphaned Land in June 2008
Def Leppard, White Snake, Judas Priest and Metallica in July 2008...

How about the Metalmasters? I also want to see some photos!

I'm hoping Testament will return for a headlining show. Seeing them open for Priest just wasn't long enough.

In the past couple months, I saw Iron Maiden (with Steve Harris' daughter opening uke: ), and Priest with Testament. I wish it could have been just Maiden with Testament opening with a full set.

Maiden still has it, and playing their "classic" setlist (leaving out all the lame ducks from recent albums) put on a great show. Priest just looked old and tired. Rob Halford had no life on stage. It was especially a letdown after the awesome high energy performance put on by Testament that left you trying to catch your breath from a short in-your-face opening set.

I saw The Iron Maidens a few months ago.. The bassist was beautiful they were really good...

I saw Judas recently... It was really good to see them live once in my life time but they even didn't play Touch Of Evil or some other songs...
