:hotjump: SLAYER!
First off, we intentionally were running a little behind, so as to avoid the opening acts. We farted around in the northern suburbs of Natti at the the malls and at Chipotle. So then we head down to the Clifton/Campus area for the show around 8 (the show started at 7) and there was still a line around the block!!! So we went to Martinis and The Holy Grail and had some coldies (Sam Adams Oktoberfest and a Woodchuck). Bogarts holds 2,000 people but they were only letting the crowd filter through one door. It took for fucking ever. We got in in time to see the last KE song, and then the lizard guy drink Jager, and blow condoms out his nose and take darts on his chest. Forget getting a beer or taking a piss @ Bogarts when it is sold out. When it is sold out, I'd swear they have to be breaking fire code laws. You can not move. It must have been 120 degrees down by the stage. This probably contributed to one of the weaker Slayer pits I've ever seen. That's not to say the crowd wasn't enthusiastic, they were nuts, but it was sooooo fucking hot, and sooooo fucking sardine like, moshing was harder than hell. Same set-list as above. Amazingly proficient. THese guys sound just like they are coming off of a CD. Bringing Lombardo back does something to, it just "feels" more Slayerific. Great diverse crowd. Some HOT metal chicks (where do these girls live????) Some old mullets still wearing there original RiB 3/4 length jerseys. Everyone kicking ass and having a good time.
