It's just that everyone knows but no one wants to answer. Use the search and find out the Still Life concept/storyline.
In short,Melinda is a god-loving chick who our protagonist used to love/stalk/drool over or whatever,but he was banished from his town by christian wahoonies,so now he's come back after 15 years and tries to meet up with Melinda. They have a little bit of sex and in the morning Melinda gets her throat sliced and the guy gets hung (little edit,not referring to his manhood in any way). Cute,no?
That wasn't all that seriously written (though it's pretty much all true in terms of the story to my knowledge),so just use the search.
