HI HI HI HI ALL !!!!!
Who is the best guitarist ????
I think Dave Murray is the best one....he plays very quick and good...a solo guitarist........i am a very very very dave murray fan......he`s the king of guitar.....Dave Murray 4ever..
Somone knows his homepage adress or e-mail ??? :) :)

:) :) :) :)

there is no real best guitarist because of all the different styles, you cant really compare. like trying to compare stevie ray vaughn who was an amazing blues player to someone like alex skolnick who is an amazing jazz player, well now he is. it just cant happen. but if you wanted to compare say, marty friedman formerly of megadeth and kirk hammett, that would be different. but best guitarist IMHO is all about person taste.

I have a lot of guitarists that I am in awe of...

I saw Joe Satriani earlier this year for the first time... very impressive!

I've also had the opportunity to see (and briefly shake hands with) Vinnie Moore - I've always liked his sound too.

Then there's Tony Macalpine - Edge Of Insanity anyone?

Marty Friedman and Jason Becker...

I love David Chastain's stuff too.

I'm sure I could add a few more to this list if I thought about it, but what's the point.

Each of these guitarists brings something to the table I like, so I can't call a favorite skill wise.

My favorite guitarists are Sara and JoJo though... and they're cute too!

"I think michael romeo of symphony x is the greatest guitar player ever."

In that case, why don't you just say Yngwank Malmsteenk is your favorite guitarist?

Hi all !!!
Well well well...yes...We thinks different...i agree with thebigyetti
. But when they test the beste guitatist in the world , and then they will test them and see how they play. There is not a only a person who decided that...eeeh..........Dave Murray is the best :) :) :)....i asked the qustion only to know who are the best guitarist you know :).......

I agree with you 100%.

My favorite would be Vito Bratta. He had some great sound.

As far as modern electric "living" guitar players go:

Eric Johnson... hands down & over all
Then of course... Ty Tabor (King's X)

All time fave: Stevie Ray Vaughn

Jazz: Wes Montgomery

Fusion: Al Di Meola

Country: Chet Atkins

Classical: Andreas Segovia

Thrash: Alex Skolnick

Hard Rock: Uli Roth + Eddit VH

Maiden: Dave Murray by a long shot

Y'all have a Happy Holiday Season!

First Impressions and Away With Words are in my short rotation (i.e. the smaller CD case I always take with me).

Give this guy a try, he's a very good friend of mine Don Kush. He plays with all kinds of alternate tunings and interesting techniques. He uses a sub-woofer at his live shows and you wouldn't think an acoustic guitar and a sub go together, but holy spit! Check out his Harp Guitar too. I think you'll like him.
