Who likes Soundgarden?

I remember when Soundgarden won the Best Metal Performance Grammy (for "Spoonman", I think) and when they accepted the award Chris Cornell said something like, "We're not leaving the stage until you can say that we're metal." I thought that was funny :)

They also won the Best Hard Rock Performance Grammy that year as well, for "Black Hole Sun", who coincidentally was also the North Korean president at the time... according to Triple J, anyway! :)

Chris Cornell recorded some stuff with the remaining members of Rage Against the Machine, but has since left the band.

Soundgarden was the coolest. With a name like Soundgarden, how could they not rule? Badmotorfinger was the most Sabbathy of their albums. All of them are good, even Down.... It's not as good, but it's better than a lot of other crap that came out around the same time.

Don't get into the 'grunge' argument. Grunge wasn't a SOUND, it was a MOVEMENT.

I don't find grunge fun heheh. At all.

Fun is sex, sleaze, leather, Harleys, whiskey and rock & roll to me heh, not bland, dingy depressing rock.

I'm just too glam for my own good I think.

I mean I walked around the city all afternoon in leather pants and Alice Cooper makeup today hahah! I got some funny looks too.

Well I couldn't resist, it was calling for me.

No. I mean being fifteen and having lots of cool bands to listen to you, and loads of all-age gigs to go to. That was fun. Try to find a decent all-age gig now. Plus the likes of Alice In Chains and Soundgarden (if you wanna call them grunge, whatever that is anyway) ruled.
