Its 2:58am and I just returned from there haha.
Vanishing Point were BRILLIANT.
Chalice were boring and I didnt watch most of them.
Kymera were cool, espieclaly the last song with Danny singing.
Enter Twilight were much more upbeat than usual which was cool.
Anarion were good, good stage presence as usual, very true metal presentation.
Battalion I only saw their last song, but it was Hallowed Be Thy Name and a great cover of it too, so that rocked!

Yeah I'd say VP were about the best I've seen 'em. Really going for it and kicking some arse.
Challis were good, but after awhile I'd had enough of it and wanted more heavy shit. The chick had an awesome voice and the flute player was nice to look at hehehehe. I kinda thought they should ditch the metal image, get accoustic guitars and promote themselves as a modern folk group or something. They could do well I reckon.

Enter Twilight were bloody good too, although I missed the first bit of their set due to talking to some people outside. It was good to see E T getting a good response from the crowd, they deserve it. Great singer there too.
Anarion good a good response from the crowd but were a bit too thrashy for me. Good stage presence though, and especially for such young guys. I kinda thought they could have been a bit tighter though, but I've probably done much worse when I was their age heheh

Yeah Vanishing Point seem to have gotten alot of confidence and experience from their European tour, they were really really professional I thought. Excellent show!
I think Anarion would be alot better if they got a heavy metal drummer instead of a death metal drummer. He's alot of the reason they aren't tight. He's playing wayyyyyyy too much and its taking away fromt he riffs and stuff, making everything muddy.

Oh yeah also, in my state of drunkness and not thinking, when I was interviewed for a Vanishing Point video, he goes 'What do you think of Vanishing Point?" and I go, "They rule! 2nd best band in Australia, Dungeon are way better" and he goes "Um, we can't use that, tell us what oyu like about Vanishing Point" hahahaha!!!
Yeah I agree about Anarion's drummer. Not saying that he's not a good drummer or anything like that, but yeah... I got the same impression, that he was the cause of the not-tightness. Just over-doing it a bit and not giving the guys the solid time-keeping that they need. When bands play fast like these guys too, they really have to be dead-on tight or it starts to sound sloppy really quick. Dungeon would be the example of a band that plays way fast without getting sloppy. Personally I can play pretty tight, but I don't think I could keep up that sort of pace for a whole song, let alone a whole set, so full credit to them for that.
About Danny... heheheh I was thinking that last night (about getting him for Titanium, I mean). Maybe when we get the new line up happening I'll send him a demo and ask if he's interested in doing it as a project. That would be something ey? An ex-Pegasus member working with Titanium? ha!

I've got some great ideas at the moment for a band... glam will be revived! I just need to find other musicians with the same attitude as me, who wanna go all the way with the 80s shock/glam thing heheh.
