I can only guess that this may be Alan Barlam, who recorded some demos for Symbol Of Salvation with them.

i forget! he was from some other band that i should remember but dont at the moment.
after raiseing fear jeff was playing live with um but wasnt on any of the releases yet. at that waters club show they announced that that guy was the new & permanent 2nd quitarist. next show jeff was back-ive never heard any of the other details about it.

When you say "next show," how soon was that? Because they say in the VHS/DVD that that was Dave's last show ever. So the next show would have been a long time later, I would imagine.

it doesnt seem like it was that long but it was along time ago. only way i would have any clue is if i can find my ticket stubs from way back then.

That's a very good question, I've always wondered that myself! The guy is blonde and kinda looks a little like Chris Caffery from Savatage, although I'm certain it's NOT him...
