I would have to say that my favorite king is the BEST king: The Once and Future King! King Arthur!

1. King Joao of Portugal - he wrote some nasty tunes for his era (around 1600 ad).

2. King Frederick the Great - he gave a theme to Bach upon which the latter composed The Musical Offering.

3. King Diamond - he's better than those two above.
