EDIT: Seriously, though. How can somebody just snap and do something like this? Will we find that he had a long history of strange and violent behaviour (like the Columbine guys)? Will we find that he just snapped (like the guy that killed the Amish kids)?

The Columbine guys watched violent movies, listened to heavy metal or punk or something, and played violent video games. Do you think all those things weren't brought up as contributing to their behaviour?

Plus, I was an English major, and I can't imagine any of the other English majors I knew capable of even firing a gun.

Yeah, but that's just usual bullshit American media looking for a scapegoat. Just like all those folks out to get Judas Priest and Ozzy Osbourne for subliminal messages.

The Columbine guys were outcasts -- and the stereotype is that outcasts do tend to flock towards an "alternative" life style which involves metal, horror, comics, fantasy, video games, etc.

Basically, they were a couple of nerdy geeks that snapped after years and years of incessant bullying which no teacher gave a shit about or ever said anything. They went out with a mission to kill as many jocks as they could.

This South Korean guy was supposedly "dumped by his girlfirend". I'll bet you $100 this chick got drunk, had a one night stand with this guy, he took that to mean she loved him, they woke up in the morning, she ran away, never returned his calls, he got a gun, maybe listened to some Ozzy and Priest, played a little Res Evil, watched Cannibal Holocaust on Nates old region 0 DVD, and THEN went nuts.

But seriously, there was definitely some chick involvement, no doubt.

Apparently this dude had an imaginary supermodel girlfriend that he called "jelly", and she called him "spanky".

So he was an English major and wrote 'obscene' material. Most people referred to him as the "question mark" guy. Apparently, on the first day of school, he refused to introduce himself with the rest of the class. And when it came to filling in his name on the class form, he insisted only on a question mark.

His note he left was some scathing attack on women and Christianity. (Koreans are big on Christianity by the way). Anyway, on his dead body, they saw some scripture reference written on his forearm.

So the stuff he wrote in his classes will no doubt end up on eBay. People will bid for it. And then some student will write about the ordeal and be offered a book deal. Movie production houses will turn it into a hollywood A-lister popcorn flick. etc. etc.
