Own so much goddamn face? Been listening to the Epitaph solo for what seems like hours.

Eh, a little. Getting the sweep taps in is hard. That's about it though.

So, still a Necrophagist solo if it's done by Sami. I didn't say anything about Muhammed doing the Epitaph solo, just that I loved it.

The technique of the solos sound exactly like violin. To my ears anyway. I think it's a wonderful style.
I'm more about that band for the riffs and the way the riffs compliment he drum parts/drum parts compliment the riffs.

They all sound the same! Overrated in my opinion.

Uhh, no. Their stuff is up there on difficulty level with Becker. Sweeps are harder because they incorporate taps. Muhammed's riffs are also a million times harder than any Cacophony riff.

With that said, I love both.

I wasn't talking about the riffs. Muhammed plays the same patterns and sweep-picked arpeggios in every solo, he is not brilliant in that regard. Hell, all the songs are in the same key! Tapped arpeggios aren't anything too hard anyway. I don't find his soloing anything truly special. Do I like the band, yes I've bought both of their cds. I wouldn't even consider Muhammed a pimple on Becker's ass though.
