Why does Agalloch release so many EPs and not full-lengths?

Agalloch isn't their jobs iirc. It's more of a part time band hence the small tours/less full lengths. It's still not bad given it's part time, every few years, although the White EP was their only EP I really enjoyed tbh.

From what I remember, it's because on the EP's they experiment more and stray from the "true" Agalloch sound, whereas on they do evolve their sound, and not stray so much. It's pretty much instead of releasing albums under a different name, I think.

what are their actual jobs? im interested to know what they do for a living.

Rather than issuing an EP every year, why not wait two years and issue a full-length?

Or am I missing the point here?

Why's that a problem? I wish my favorite bands would release 1 EP per year instead of a full-length every 3-4 or so.

hahaha yeah, it's like somthing to tie you over for a while:lol:

You're crazy! That is the highlight imo. Well not so much "The Grain", but the others two are awesome.

I prefer The Mantle, but AAtG is still great.
