As in, maybe include the technical aspects of a dedicated DI box into an interface? I've always thought that it should be a simple thing, and maybe some company has already done this but it seems doable.
Why don't interface manufacturers include impedence matching?

Don't most consumer interfaces have an instrument input that acts as a DI box? I thought the whole reason for those was to impedance match....
Or if you're talking about having variable impedance mic pre inputs, even most top of the line pres don't have that....
