why Goats Horns by Nokturnal Mortum is the school showers of black metal

I never considered Burzum to be NSBM either. Or Graveland.

Enter THE REASON WHY ARGUING ABOUT BLACK METAL WITH ANOTHER BLACK METAL FAN IS POINTLESS dressed head to toe in day-glo orange, carrying a sign reading "Hey Assholes, Over Here!". He wanders through the crowd, apparently invisible, to the far side of the stage.

THE REASON: OK, If you need me again, just say "NSBM"! Hello? Is anyone listening to me?

He sighs. Exit THE REASON.

Lets face it, telling people your into Pagan or odinist black metal justs makes them think your a CoF fan who whose been watching too much Buffy the Vampire slayer recently, let slip your into nazi stuff, and suddenly everyones becomes much more "opinionated" towards you. Where before you were just another black clad dweeb fighting a losing war against the tyranny of halitosis and acne and whose sole achivement in live was being a mod on a half dead forum, now they get visions of Edward Norton in American History X. or so the ANUSites believe anyway. it helps them believe that they are in fact a dashing rebel instead of a cretinous geek.
Right, I'm sure nazi's just love Cradle of Filth. Nothing gets nazi's more pumped and ready to do some kike bashin' then faggot gothic music made by a midget wearing an S&M suit.

Get a clue, fag.

I consider Graveland more of a Pagan metal band, not NS. Darken may share NS ideology, but his lyrics do not reflect this in the way a lot of NS bands do.

I don't consider Burzum NS either. Just because ol' Varg decided to become a nazi after being a black metal legend and a hobbit-loving weirdo doesn't mean his music is NS.

Some clever guy once said "Count Grischnack is the black metal legend, Varg Vikernes is the man who killed both Burzum and Mayhem" or something like that

I understand this, but Varg never had NS lyrics, yet Burzum is still considered proto-NSBM, just as many racialist pagan BM bands don't always use specifically Nazi themes but are still considered to fall into that category. So I'd say all albums from any BM act that has had racialist lyrics and/or racialist viewpoints at any point are still NSBM.

It's just nitpicking anyways, they're NS now, so...
Just because you sympathize with the NS movement doesn't automatically make your music NS. Burzum nor Graveland (as far as I can remember) have any NS lyrics, this is why it's incorrect to label Goat Horns NSBM.

hahahahhahahh

I'm gonna hafta go ahead and be of the opinion that most people who don't "consider" bands they like to be NSBM are generally people who wish not to be associated with NSBM.

What, exactly, defines "NS" lyrics? I've almost never seen any racialist bands outside of Oi!/RAC who make blatantly Nazi-themed statements in their lyrics. Actually, I've seen only a handful of diehard NSBM bands who even use the Swazi proper, most instead opting for a 'sunwheel' or other tribalist/pagan variations. The only thing you can universaly judge a band's "NS"-ness by is the personal viewpoints and statements they give the media. And both Varg and Rob have made their views pretty friggin clear over the years.

In the end I think it comes down to whether a band aligns themselves with NSBM or not, and nothing else.

Well obviously it depends on your classifications, there's elements of NS in the core of black metal in the first place, but I tend to think that neither Graveland or Burzum were specificially trying to express national socialism so I don't call it NSBM.

Obviously I listen to bands whom I do call NSBM, but I agree that some probably hate calling bands NS because it makes them feel ashamed that they listen to it, or something to that effect.

Going by his top tunes of the moment, he has no room to throw criticism towards any band. Kollex change your name to bollocks.
