Why is the U.S economy so fucked up?

I think everyone in this forum has been guilty of being a prentious asshole at some point in time LMAO. Probably why we all get along so well........

Never in my life did I think I would see the day when Virus Gravy would start sounding like a libertarian nutcase. This is a special day for me. I think I'll drink to that.

You'll be happy to know that the next thing I've begun reading is Power and Market, Rothbard's vision of a stateless, fully market-driven society.

Speaking of the economy and Alex Jones,

Alex Jones interviews Rich Dad, Poor Dad author Robert Kiyosaki:

Because our president is black and our last president was a redneck from the south. It's really ironic actually.

There is nothing wrong with a faith-backed currency. The problem is the Dollar is debt-based.

What do you say to people who think that history has shown that fiat money, or "faith-based currency" always fails, because when governments claim this power, that they always behave irresponsibly?

Not a question based on my own opinion, just a general idea and something I hear all the time ( Ron Paul )

Modern/recent governments actually do not claim the real power of monetary creation, but privately owned banks. An actual republic in control of a faith based currency is not a problem.

The problem with a gold standard is the limitation of possible capitol and the ability for a handful of private investors to control to market for the masses, which is what we have now. A gold standard would create the same problems for the market as the current insider-controlled debt-based monetary system creates.
