Why suffokate?

Here I am buying tickets for what seems to be like an awesomely brutal tour with Dying Fetus and The Faceless, and Vital fucking Remains although they aren't coming to the toronto date godfuckingdammit, here is a band on the bill that I have to forewarn anyone who despises slipknot/LoG-overkill grooves being battered with what sounds like screamo vocals toned down an octave or two...

Suffokate. Just bland and boring, and with an image to suit. Label themselves as "Hardcore/Death Metal". We all know what Deathcore destroyed for us back in the day *cough*Cryptopsy*hackcough*, so I'm feeling obligated to put this up out of love for Lord Wyrm and other stuff.

I haven't checked out Enfold Darkness or Beneath the Massacre yet, but updates are imminent.

Upon opening this thread I was wondering if this would be the band I was thinking of haha! They're from around here or close I think and I've definitely heard of them and good for them for getting on such a good tour.

The Faceless is actually pretty decent, or at least Planetary Duality is.

Absolutely right, beneath the massacre was completely unlistenable, especially the first album. This is utterly useless wankery that just says fuck you to melody and songwriting development on any level.

On another note, annotations of an autoposy are on the bill, and they are a bit of alright!

hmm i played a show about 4-5 years ago with a band called suffokate....but i dont think it was this one haha. they had two singers and were more like hardcore/numetal or something. not good.
