I don't understand these modern brats with their angst and baggy pants and minimal prospects.

Fuck well off if you don't like TRUE (i.e. recorded prior to 1975) metal.

Uriah Heep aren't metal? Whether or not they are directly metal is up for debate, but they are important players in the story... in the first chapter, admittedly!

All the elements were there- heavy (ish) riffs, screaming vocals, pounding drums, crazy stage antics, and above all, mad volume.

That is more metal to me than a million death or black metal bands who completely miss the point!

well thats true of course, but i wouldnt call them metal...thats all. they did start the scene though. above all, they are an awesome band and they still kick ass. they were here three months ago.
