I know the music industry sucks, especially for metal, and it's hard to make money, but most metal bands still tour. Is Kalmah is just busy with their real life jobs/higher education/protecting swamps? Does anyone know the answer to this?

Thats probably one reason. And since they are not a full touring band, and not as big, they have to have other jobs, and cant just leave those.

^ He edited hes post...it said "Finnland" or smt similar...i just showed him how its really spelled....

For the record i have no fucking clue what you are talking about....

Aaah..

i am talking about when Kalmah have no booking agency who would do or make the shows/tours for Kalmah. Someone have to promote the band to someone who take them to their place and let them do a gig. They have no promotional stuff exept the video but that doesn't get any tours. Read the comments on Guestbook on Kalmah - The Official Swamp!!

^ fuckin true but if l{alma}l has time to write some badass songs i say they have th right to tour along with the greats of this genre

It's a crying shame because Kalmah could assert themselves as one of the greatest contemporary metal bands.

there are some bands that don't tour. get over it

err... no thanks. I can't help wanting to see Kalmah play a gig that I can go to. Is that unreasonable? Also, is it unreasonable to wonder why they don't tour? If you're the sort of person that's happy to sit at home with his CD's playing, that's fine, but some people really enjoy the experience of seeing their favourite musicians play live. I know I do.

^ good point.

honestly i really thought they would do a big European, perhaps even world tour after the release of The Black Waltz.
but it seems that they really are busy with many other things except Kalmah. and not to mention the fact that they do not (yet) have a booking agency.

too bad, but if they ever set out for a tour, it's pretty obvious a lot of people would show up, as they've earned a huge fanbase worldwide.
