Why would you like these snares?

Sneapsters, it's been a while <3

I'm editing drums for there core kids, and well
i'm curious about the ringy-hardcoreish snare and the Slateish fatty snare
usage.

These two snares have a typical Z4 blended beneath.
But the other layer is radically different.

Thin one

Fatty one

I'd like to hear your opinions about this (on the tracks and in general)

its really hard to tell without context but the fat one appeals to me more

Well it don't make sense to compare snares if you just ask which one is better. I guess you can arrange some nice party for core-kids and say, hey this is better!
But seriously. The second one sounds better to me. Still this comparison makes no sense. Next time bring some mixes in. This is just stupid.

If the context is this song, then the 'fatty' snare sounds better.
