Yeah I read about that as well, few of my friends had it. It's pretty easy to fix and doesnt do any harm apart from the restart.
Heh, someone actually took a look at the programm code, and there it said "I just want to say LOVE YOU SAN!! billy gates why do you make this possible ? Stop making money and fix your software!!"
I find that kinda funny

There is a fix for this, but if you go into services and restart the RPC service and you should be fine.

I shoulda read this thread last night, and looked like a genius today.

We were in a training course, on internet security just before lunch, when the trainer's computer had those messages and went down.

Training was over (for some strange reason), so went back to my workstation, and the whole fucking network was down.

For the rest of the day.

The day was not altogether wasted, as the topic immediately before internet security was about "clean desk", where you have nothing e-mail related on your desk to stop prying eyes from getting hints.

I'd forgotten what colour my desk actually was for a few weeks.

Nothing new here... There's a new security hole found in Windows/IE/Outlook/IIs, on a pretty much weekly basis... as for worms and email macros, there's plenty of them all the time too.
