Wireless System For Guitar

I use a Sennheiser EW 172 G2. Works great, used it for a ton of gigs, batteries last a long time. It is a bit pricey, but well worth it.

Their terrible dude, well at least anything sub-£500. I tried a few, and they absolutly murdered my high end. I ended up with an AKG Bug for practicality, but i never use it in shear fear of my tone being grinded in half.
Live tho, i guess you could say it doesnt matter too much, as you're more often than not stuck in a muddy bodge of sound anyway, with performance mattering more than sound quality.

erm, thats a pretty crap way of thinking, sounding good live is very important, how else are you gonna convert the people watching you into fans without them hearing whats going on?

I've used the shure ULX pro system and UC sytems (as a FOH guy, not as a player) and they were both pretty reliable and sounded fine. If you are worried about losing tone some guys recomend using the line level out of the reciever into a reamp box into your amp to avoid impedence issues. I've never felt the need but since I think you (Matt) have a reamp I thought I'd mention it.

I dont mean it makes it so you cant hear it dude :p It's just never as good as a cable unless serious cash is being spent. And in a live environment in this day and age, performance and image are above live music sound quality on the record label's agenda. :)

One thing you might want to look into depending on where your live shows may take you: Take into consideration which countries you'll be playing in as I believe due to some sort of frequency issues certain wireless systems allegedly won't work in certain countries.

Whatever you do don't buy a fixed frequency system. You may get lucky but you may end up with a useless box in certain areas/cities/countries if you do.
