What cacophonous junk.

This is terribly disappointing. I actually feared this would happen. I’m getting ready to order the new CD right now. I’m all excited and everything. I downloaded “Stand My Ground” because I just couldn’t wait to hear something from it while I wait for the CD and it made me sad, very sad. I don’t find this inspirational at all. I’ve been fond of Within Temptation for many years now, and this is just depressing to me. I guess I shouldn’t have put my hopes up so high. Of course, this is only one song. It only took me one listen to realize how horrible it is, though. I actually fear listening to anymore. This sounds so radio-friendly, like an Evanescence song. They've degraded! I loved their older, more nature influenced sound.

They won’t be able to top songs like Blooded, Candles, Gatekeeper, and The Promise, will they? Candles will always be their most superior work. That's that.
