PRESS RELEASE
Today in London at the High Court in the Strand, in a landmark decision for the music industry, Mr Justice Laddie found in favour of Biff Byford the lead singer of Heavy Metal band SAXON, in a case involving previous band members Graham Oliver and Steve Dawson, who registered the name SAXON for themselves in 1997 without the knowledge of Mr Byford.
Mr Justice Laddie ruled that Oliver-Dawson had registered the name in bad faith.
Saxon's decisive victory over former members Oliver-Dawson is well timed as it coincides with the bands 25th anniversary celebrations.
Now fuck off Mickey /Mouse Saxon
