well, i guess it'd be okay if it made me feel any better but now i'm just twice as jittery and wound up. plus i just realized i have to come in on sunday. damn salary position.

i sort of feel rotten about it now. i'm such a bitch. this is a synopsis of what happened tho: i went away to vegas. i left a list of 4 things for my supervisor to do. (3 were phone calls, of which NONE were made and i got in trouble for that when i got back) the fourth was to throw a birthday party for our receptionist (who, might i add, has a daughter dying if breast cancer) i even left my supervisor $25 for it. since the birthday was going on while i was gone. and i figured, i'd take delores out to lunch myself when i got back, as an added present.

so i find out today, NO PARTY. everyone forgot and my supervisor just didnt feel like it.
and here's our receptionist, freaking out about her daughter, busting her ass off, getting paid half of what everyone else here does, working weekends to take care of her fucking grandkids. and i just was in a state of shock that no one cared at all about her birthday.
(i might add that so far, since january, i've thrown a party for every single person in the office)

i need to get a better grip tho.

and mind you, i didnt make a noise when i realized my boss didn't make those calls for me, i tried my best to play it off and cover my ass when i got back. and i didnt even ask her about it.

god i feel so bad about all this. anyway, i played it off. i told the receptionist i had asked everyone to wait until i got back before we had her party because i didnt want to miss it. she bought the excuse. thankfully. so we'll have it next week. i guess no harm done, except to my fucking nervous system.
