Hey guys,

I'm trying to figure out what the heck is wrong with this bass tone other than it's boomy as a what what. I need it to sit with my guitars, and right now I'm really diggin' Silence's bass tone for what I'm looking for:

Here's my track, some advice for getting it to sit and not seem so boomy especially in that opening riff would be great (and ignore vocals, haven't started mixing em yet :D):

Thanks a ton guys, this forum has always been a big help and I feel like people sometimes take that for granted. :notworthy

P.S. I don't have the ability to re-bounce since my Pod isn't plugged in and for some reason it chopped off the opening snare flam... pretend it sounds nice haha. Also, you should hear a pleasant sex noise, courtesy of my hysterical vocalist. Not actually going in the song of course, but it's ear candy haha.

i like it man, when it comes to bass and getting it to sit right i feel the multi-pressor becomes your friend.

i really like the song man. whats the name of your band?

the kick is way too loud and flat sounding. cut some mids and boost some lows. as for the bass, try getting in touch with cj (sigmundfreud33) for some help, he did Silence's EP and did a damn fine job on it as well, might i add. i believe he reamped bass through a dual tremoverb on that production, which will add some grind to it.

Ok sweet, thanks guys. I'll mess with the kick and try to hit up CJ.

Also, IBMixin, we don't have a name yet haha. Generations was temporary but we're trying to figure something out right now.

Thanks again!
