I dunno if this is the right place, but..
Who here has worked with professional musicians ??
As in, big label artists, worldwide touring acts, etc...
Just interested to see if anyone here is working with the so-called 'real deal'.

Personally I havent worked with anyone big in my studio - Ive mixed FOH for a lot of big bands though - recently mixed The Faceless, Bury Your Dead, The Amenta, etc.. Heading on Tour with Krisiun and Dawn of Azazel soon too!

well the closest thing i've got is my teacher in college, he's the ex drummer from a famous irish band called the moving hearts. he's done stuff with bb-king, eddy v-h and loads more. he's also been the production manager for some seriously big festivals in ireland in the mid 90's to 00's.

then my ex music business teacher is the guitarist from an old famous brittish / irish punk band called "the radiators from space" he's a fucking legend of a man, again he's done work with some pretty famous people.

my song writing teacher is a slightly famous singer / songwriter in ireland and some parts of the us. francie conway, he's done stuff with i think the police a few years back, eddy v-h again ( i think) and some more crap

my guitar teacher is a world famous jazz musician, hugh buckley - i swear this guy would put yngwie malmsteen to shame. he wouldnt be as fast but his knowledge of music is insane. its freaky. he's done lots of work with other famous jazz musicians but i dont really know that scene so i cant name names.

im pretty close to one of the owners of the old point depo. (actually my dads friend) it was once irelands largest venue. he owns studios around ireland, rehersal spaces and other gig venues. its now called the o2 arena. cost 18 million and is suppose to have the best sound in europe. its only like a few weeks old so i haven't got a chance to go in and check it out yet.

and i know chris amott from arch enemy but i never got to work with him sadly. :(

and i get my guitars set up by u2's old guitar tech!

thats about as close as i get to the action. just gona keep worming my way in there.

Joey Belladonna used my bass amp once...same night I had to help Blackie Lawless move his insanely huge fucking mic stand - he was a prick.

Seriously took like 5 guys to move it. They apparently didn't have enough roadies so they asked the guys from the opening bands to help out. I thought - "Okay I'll help! I don't really like W.A.S.P. but I'll give Blackie Lawless a hand, he used to have a buzzsaw cod piece, after all. Maybe I'll get an autograph out of this!" Well turns out no...he was a complete prick.

I've done FOH for a ton of tours (Between The Buried And Me, Animosity, The Ataris, Born Of Osiris, etc etc etc), and did records for bands like For The Fallen Dreams, See You Next Tuesday, Red I Flight, Attila, And Hell Followed With... more like smaller label names I suppose. Also, Vince from Acacia Strain came to my studio to cut the guest vocals for the Red I Flight album on Victory. Still waiting on that big project though! It's all about paying dues. :-)

Changes? Really like that album and the guitars. I thought Joey did that album. Which would mean it may be a PODXT?

I can't imagine working with See You Next Tuesday. Nice to mix songs that aren't over 2 minutes long, closer to 1 minute each. But the insanity of it all! Classics like "Honey, I've Never Had Sex That Wasn't Awkward" and " Before I Die I'm Gonna Fuck Me A Fish."

If that tone is podxt I will probably soil myself. and then buy one.

Toured with Amorphis (still good friends with these guys), Into Eternity and Beyond The Embrace. Did a solo for a buddy's cd that was tracked by James Murphy, was really cool to work with him. Played with Nevermore a couple times, pretty cool with those guys (Loomis still owes me $10 from a pool game he lost about 12 years ago in Jersey, probably doesn't remember anyway:p ) , played with King Diamond. Didn't get to meet him but his roadies were super cool :D hahahaha There's probably a couple others I can't remember at the moment.

Oh yeah, it seems I had sex with Blackie Lawless when I was on tour in the backstage bathroom of one of our gigs. Not actually him, but some chick who looked enough like him that the next day the guys in Amorphis were all calling me Wildchild and asking if I was Blind in Texas the night before

vodka is a hell of a drink ;)

stephen pearcy used my line 6 head when we opened up for him. I went home before he went on stage though

I've played along-side UFO, Twisted Sister, Saxon, Diamond Head, Cradle of Filth, Candlemass and Lauren Harris in some of my ex bands, that was as a guitar player tho, not an engineer, great fun all the same.

Destruction and Wishbone Ash used my guitar amp (Marshall 6100, 30th Anniversary 100w Head)

dude, you have not done a for the fallen dreams record! stop telling everyone you have! Changes was the first release and was produced by me.

Your claim to fame is false. :Puke:

no dude, this guy claims he did a for the fallen dreams record but definately did not. he recorded a few demos, which i unfortunately had to listen to when the band came in for the LP.
