Like I mentioned, this has a very "Rock Anthem" quality, and frankly, I love that this kind of music is being introduced to the PP stage, as it keeps things fresh, and selfishly, it's following my current musical tastes. This song owns.

I like the album - very well done! I mostly like the songs in which it's clear who the lead singer is (I prefer Elize to shine more as a lead).

You think? I thought this was a very well done video and I've been hating Ullaeus' work since 2005 or so. I guess I'm a fan of simple performance type videos. I feel the big, expensive videos with stories, effects, and CGI always come out looking shitty and cheesy (with few exceptions of course, like the latest Devin Townsend video which is absolutely phenomenal)

I thought the video was nice, actually. Though I don't fully understand why, in music videos with an attractive female vocalist, the lighting will often white-wash her out.

I think if there was any song on the album that they SHOULDN'T have utilized the screamer, though, it was this song. That's my only complaint about the song itself. It's a beautiful song, and his vocals detract from it.

Honestly? As a Photographer, I'd bet that blowing up the highlights makes it easier to mask imperfections and tone in the skin than spending time in a program to color correct. William's comment kind of shows you what the Audience is looking at in these kinds of videos. "Woah, hot chick singing".

I'm not saying I like that kind of attitude, but as a professional decision, it's an easy way to cut costs from post production, it's ... "artsy", and it works.

I disagree, but I'm a fan of bands who use vox as an extra instrument, and I find the contrast of the three to be kind of nice. I'm glad it's not overdone and they actually have someone who can "clean vox" with her. I think some of Nightwishes best work were songs between Marco and Tarja, for example, some growling mixed in would've been great. However, sometimes, when you've got Clean female vox with growlers exclusively, it's overwhelming.

I made this comment at 6 this morning. I had already been at work for a couple of hours. I totally channeled the dickish vibe from the MDF forum.

But she is really pretty and the music isn't my style. So my misogynistic ass will just hope she wears something skimpy during their PPUSA performance, or I'm hitting the merch room.

Dear Will,

1 - Don't spend too much time in the dickish-vibed MDF forum.

2 - Bring a ton of money to make up in the vendor room.

3 - DO THE WEATHER AT FUCKING PRIME-TIME, FOR GOD's SAKE! :lol::lol:

Seriously man... You're getting a band with a real hot chick on stage at your favorite festival in life, that will NOT BE THERE forever. They have enormous potential to get huge. It can't be THAT bad. Give them a few songs at least. Heck, if I have been able to sit through some bands I don't usually care for (and walked out as a casual fan), I'm sure you can do it too.

Jake is THE MAN. You will hear more from Olof, and a special guest appearance by Jake on the upcoming DRAGONLAND album! Look for a Worldwide premiere on my show in October!
