Except, you know, his performance on that album is actually one of the finest in all of thrash metal. His lack of technical vocal ability is irrelevant, as it isn't needed to convey the pure aggression that most thrash is predicated upon.

This new trend of rerecording old classics is a pitiful one indeed. These classics are not just pieces of music, they are time-capsules, brimming with nostalgia and hindsight. They are, in effect, portraits of their own little eras, and listening to them while imagining their proper contexts is a big part of what makes them so incredible. Now all these old bands, bitter and angry at their own talents having withered away, are pretty much raping this entire concept up the arse, making a mockery of themselves and their own art in the process.

I don't know what the fuck you guys are smoking.

It kicked ass for about 3 times through, then I realized all the songs needed to be reduced by about a third.

Raze is one of the best songs the band has done though

Anyone hear the new Exodus The Atrocity Exhibit A? Well the last track number 9 I think, has some weird ass banjo playing country crap at like 9:00 or something. Is this them playing drunk or some other band? I didn't see any credits for a band on the album.

because like generic death grunts on later exodus is prime example of vocal ability. this is thrash metal, not power/prog dont use this whole vocal ability shit
