I'd be willing to save up a few hundred dollars. Anyone else want them to play? I think it would kick ass and they would gain a lot of new fans.

Yeah, plus they played Alehorn 2006, Heathen Crusade 2007, and are playing Alehorn this year in a couple weeks.
Great live band (I saw them at Alehorn last year), but not much of a wow factor for a festival appearance.

They have played Double Door two times in the past, and are playing Alehorn again this year.
Double Door is one of the better advertised clubs in the city.
I do suppose they have not played an all ages gig in Chicago.
Not sure how many people would want to actually sponsor them though, given the amount of bands who have not played Chicago yet, or who haven't played in a long time.
Go for it though. I would not contribute to sponsoring them, though I certainly would not mind seeing them again.
