I wouldn't say their mainstream. Maybe in the BM community, but not anywhere else really. If you ask some if they know Slipknot (definately mainstream) they will say yes. Then if you ask if they know Dimmu Borgir then chances are they will say no.

Shagrath has been in DB since the start, I believe. I would keep him. Is Hellhammer still in Mayhem or did he leave them to stay with Dimmu?

notice i said "mainstreamed metal bands" if you mention Dimmu Borgir to any metalhead, they will know who they are...as opposed to if you were to mention Nevermore. sure, their popularity is gaining extreme heights, but I still get the answer "i havent heard that much from them"... which generally means "i have no idea who the fuck youre talkin about"

Black metal dudes don't usually quit one band if they have another. Hellhammer is a current member of quite a few bands.

I'm actually kind of pissed they hired Simen...he ruined the last Arcturus cd.
