Wow

Wow, seems like a good guy, and it's admirable that he was able to change so much

I gotta ask, though - who is the host, and how did he get his own show? :hypno:

I can be patriotic and support our President (even though I didn't vote for him) without agreeing with him. I am not a sheep that will blindly follow our President - I'm pretty sure we had 8 years of that getting this country screwed up. The Democrats are now using the same tactics the Republicans used after 9/11. For Republicans, it became a catch phrase to say if you didn't support the war in Iraq or Afghanistan or the Patriot Act that you were supporting terrorism. Now for the Democrats its become a catch phrase to claim that if you don't support Obama's economic policy that you want the country to fail. We all know neither of these things are true...

I'm a registered Repbulican and a full-blooded atheist. I'd say this guy has it about 50% right when he says the Republican party is now being controlled by neo-cons and ideologues. Unfortunately these are the vocal loud obnoxious assholes in the party. I hope that sometime soon true conservatives can take back the party. In the meantime though, I'm changing my registration to Independent.

He is a stand up comedian. Didn't even know he had a show. (don't watch TV)

I was just shocked to hear someone of his background say this stuff. Besides the fact that he wants you to buy his book, I think something sneaky is going on. Just a feeling.

Oh wow, really? That didn't occur to me at all, I thought he had just really woken up and done a lot of soul-searching to come to his conclusions, though I admit I can be very naive about people - what do you think is going on in his head dude?

You may be right, I'm probably being cynical. Trying to sway popular opinions in advantage to his hidden agenda? :heh:

I agree with you despite being on the opposite side of the political spectrum. I think it is our role is to look critically at decisions regardless of the leader. Way too many people treat politics like sports-- not considering the decisions made -- just blindly rooting for a team.
