XLR snake cable length

Just curious if anyone has any experience with this. I need to use a 30/40 meter XLR snake, how much loss will I have, or won't there be any loss?

It would require depending on exact impedance, about 1000ft (300m) before you will start to get some loss in the highs and increased noise. Generally snakes are made in lengths that are safe unless you are getting huge snakes designed for venues like download

As stated, with a balances cable you have hundreds of metres before getting any issues.

Just dont try it with anything unbalanced.
