Well I compared in my local music shop genelec 8020A's and HS50's, genelec slayed yamaha big time, period.

anyway, they are much more expensive. i'll take those yamaha moni's and keep them up until i move to a better studio (i'll buy the PSI then). like cj said, if your room can't follow, it's useless having the phatest monitors ever.

and with the money left, i'm gonna get a cool 6505+

I tested them for about a month, they were too bright and ended up going with KRK Rokit 8' which seemed to have a better low end to my ears and had more detail. I'm sticking with those while I save up for a pair of Klein+Hummel 0300.

i don't own a pair but my friend does. When i listened back to my songs on them, i could hear alot of separation in the mix.

Behringer monitors, all near the wall, no room treatment....nevertheless, he makes powerfull and punchy mix everytime (see the haunted, dagoba, mnemic ecc...) so.... I don't know
