The answer to that is basically the same as any other near-field. Away from nearby boundary surfaces, on dedicated speaker stands, placed in an equilateral triangle from your head, tweeters at ear level, upright.

Yeah I wanna buy a pair in the summer!!!!
But the good thing about them is that they dont sound great, warm ...
they are very direct, very uncoloured, It feels like they dont loose anything in the mids...
I heard Justin Timberlake about them and I totaly heard the 1000000000000$ budget of his new record.
I also tried some records I realy like, and some sounded very boomy, and scooped.
THIS SPEAKERS ARE HONEST!!!!
First I wanna buy genelecs but compared to the Yamaha they where to coloured and hyped.
Same for KRK...
And one thing thats also very good the big frequenzy range from 42-20khz.
Everything under 40hz is not necessary for music!!!
Go for them!!! I dont understand why this speaker doesnt cost like 500-1000 for one box

Have a pair. Top quality equipment, but I still need to treat my room and train my ears more to use their potential.
Anywho, doing sweeps with an Eq to find the "spot" for kicks drum, bass, guitar or anything else is a breeze on these monitors.
