Hi guys! Just before posting this I checked the forum and found 2 more post like this one posted just within a week :) It's cool to see this kind of collaboration going on :) I am sure it's been done before but it looks like it's getting more popular now that the Internet offers a cheap way of communication!

My friend drummer (Les) and I are looking to collaborate with some metal-minded musicians like ourselves. I am gonna place a short story below so if you read it here please don't bother reading it again in the channel description area on Youtube -> http://www.youtube.com/user/Armaturametal. Please read before you listen to the demos on Youtube.

OK, here's the story:

We, the drummer (Les) and the guitarist (Vit) for ARMATURA project have an idea of creating an international internet-based record-oriented metal project and are looking for musicians on pleace like youtube and ULTIMATEMETAL :headbang:: ultimately we'd need a vocalist, a bassist, another guitar player and optionally a keyboardist. We believe that considering the nature of the project it is best to look for musicians all over the globe rather than around our physical location. And we believe that youtube and ULTIMATEMETAL are some of the best places to do that.

In a nutshell, the idea is to get a team of musicians (like a real band) together which would collaborate over the internet on composing and recording metal songs (and instrumentals) and then promote these songs via the internet (and other means possible). This will be a no strings attached collaboration so everyone will be free to participate in other on-line or other kinds of projects as well as leave if no longer interested. We'd communicate over Skype, Google chat and email. Files would be exchanged over email and sendspace.com (and the like).

While we don't claim to be super skilled professionals we will still have to somehow select musicians for this project (to get fixed a team together) based on some simple criteria (but no fancy auditions of course). We are not professional musicians - rather hobbyists - but the ones who stood the test of time and we know for sure metal is part of the air we breathe and we spend all of our free time playing and making music. Therefore, we'd be looking for hobbyists like ourselves for this project. We're not looking to make money from this project but if it comes, we'll welcome it :) and share equally :). We'd also expect you guys to be:

- responsible and decent individuals who'd approach this project responsibly (we really want to make the records happen and don't want to get stuck in draft demo stages);

- experienced musicians with above average technical skills who own high quality instruments and decent recording equipment to be able to lay down tracks in a multitrack sequencer;

- English proficient. The last but not least, your English should be good enough to communicate and contribute to writing/editing lyrics.

We are quite flexible in terms of musical directions with a few exceptions, e.g. no brutal, no noise metal, no grind or rap.

ARMATURA used to be an actual band but now it's just the 2 of us. Since we are the ones who created ARMATURA we have a moral right to that name (since no legal record of it was ever made) and we'd offer to keep it for the project (subject to further discussion with the final line-up).

To start things off we'd like to offer to make a decent quality recording of 4 tracks ARMATURA recorded back in 1997. Most of all we need a vocalist for this task. The original vocalist is no longer interested.

These 4 tracks (and a couple more) were recorded in 1997 using 2 stereo cassette decks (we had no multitrack recording equipment so vocals and guitar tracks had all to be done in one go). Another piece of crap about these tracks is that there are no real lyrics - just an imitation of English (we jokingly transcribed that singing so now we have some extremely funny lyrics that match the vocal line very closely on 2 of those 4 songs). While the quality is quite poor it's good enough to get an idea of what the songs are. The vocal line was improvised on the recording so it is by no means cast in stone and can be changed by the vocalist we'd chose for the project. Actually, nothing is cast in stone and we'd be open to ideas on changing things around these 4 tracks as well.

So if you like the idea, please let us know by leaving your comments and your contact info on the ARMATURA channel.

We're looking forward to meeting (and creating metal songs with) cool musicians here on youtube who'd be interested in this kind of project.

Best regards,
Les and Vit
