Here are some Cal Trans realtime traffic cams that would be of interest to folks considering using the Bay Bridge today...

Westbound Interstate 80 at Ashby (West of the Bay Bridge)

Eastbound Interstate 80 at the I-80/I-580/I-880 Interchange (Just West of the Bay Bridge Toll Plaza)

Westbound Interstate 80 at Fremont Street (First Exist West of Bay Bridge in San Francisco)

Eastbound Interstate 80 at 7th Street (Going Towards Bay Bridge, crappy pictures)​

I just read an article in The Chronicle about how traffic on the Bay Bridge is actually down earlier this week, so perhaps I will give it a try after all!

FYI, I took I-80 all the way from Sacramento to San Francisco yesterday -- piece of cake! Much ado about nothing really!

Oh, and Squeak is just as nice in person as she is on the forum, by the way.

Yeah unless you're trying to get to 580 or 24, you're fine. I live in the tri-vally part of the east bay and just took 880 south to the 238 and had no problems. I think it was actually faster than going 580 anyways
