Hope you didn't think I would have a link, I don't. But Peccatum's "In The Bodiless Heart,"from the new album, is pretty fucking cool. Awesome acoustic guitars with this really laid back jazzy drum groove, some awesome distorted guitar parts and Ihsahn's wife's voice is much more restrained and actually quite beautiful on this one. NAD you would LOVE the fretless bass licks on this.

It's an oddity, but I guess that's Peccatum. Will take a few listens, otherwise there's a bit of a jazzed hip hop beat to it like you say. This is lounge jazz!

You know who Ishahn sounds like? He sounds like the lead singer in Dead or Alive. Remember them, heh? "You spin me right round, baby right round, like a record baby..."

By the way, notice the fuck up on the recording at the 1:32 mark? It skips/scratches pretty badly. Maybe it's like that on the master...

I like the wah guitars that kick in at around 3:20 mark.

I love that beat they employ at the beginning of Parasite My Heart. I sense a disturbance in the force, an Emperor appreciation thread in the near upcoming future...
