You have 2 hours to convince me to buy Reverend Bizarre's In the rectory...

aha.

That Burn in Hell song was neat, I expect it to be better on further listens.

That's exactly it. The songs are 8:52, 13:10, 11:48, 13:29, 5:37, and 21:10 respectively. They get better and better with every listen until they envelop you! Not to mention they get stuck in your head all damn day. :tickled:

I've been listening to Crush the Insects so much lately (I enjoy it, but not as much as In the Rectory) I haven't listened to this, man... i'm cracking out to this sooo much right now, it's great.

It is trad doom like Saint Vitus and Trouble, Witchfinder General, Count Raven, The Obsessed and Pentagram, Solitude Aeturnus and Candlemass, Penance, Revelation, and Iron Man, Unorthodox, Cathedral and Cold Mourning

How familiar are you with the Trouble catalog, Erik? I have their self titled release, and although it's excellent, I would never categorize them along with the other bands you mentioned.

I know Doomcifer has been trying to offload "The Skull" for a while, but I'm not sure about where else to venture in the Trouble discography. I'd prefer less "rock doom" and more "trad doom".

downloading. i gave these dudes one chance long ago and didn't dig it, BUT THAT COULD ALL CHANGE TONIGHT.

trad doom >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> that weird stuff

DOOM!!! OVERRR THE WORRLLLDDDDD

ETERRNALLL WILL BE OUR MISSIONNNNNNNNN

DOOOOOMMMM OVERRRRR THE WOORRRLLLLLLLLDDDDDDDDD

*dundundun-DUNDUNDUN-dumdumdum-DUMDUMDUM*

these dudes are still pretty meh to me. maybe if they were around 20 years ago?

i know i shouldn't necessarily listen to music with respect to time (either backwards or forwards), but i mean this sounds straight out of 1984, and it's not. i'm too progressive for my own good sometimes i think.

edit: umm bottom line is yeah i like it, but i can already tell this mp3 will sit unlistened to for the next 42098570 years starting in like 3 minutes.

Ugh you don't get it

I'm quoting the lyrics from "The Goddess of Doom" and being vaguely ontopic at the same time... Anyway, I have "Psalm 9" and "Run to the Light"
